At Tags For Pots, we have operated a wholesale native plant nursery in the Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia for several years, and over that time we have developed a cost-effective system for labelling our plants.

Plant label content has been designed to meet the needs of our nursery customers. It is: Concise and Informative in describing Size, Form, Location and Uses.

Thermal Transfer Tags & Labels

· Specify your own Adhesive Plant Label and Plant Tag contents such as Plant Descriptive text, your Nursery’s logo & your Contact Details.

· Recycle old push-in tags by applying our 70x20mm Adhesive Labels to used and redundant tags, saving you money and wastage.

 

· Our Adhesive Pot Labels and Pot Tags are durable. They are weather-proof, water-resistant & UV-resistant. They withstand typical nursery conditions.

· Our Adhesive Pot Labels can be applied directly onto pots & tubes OR they can be applied to push-in pot tags (new & used, blank & pre-printed).

· Our stock plant label and plant tag descriptive text follows a standard for conveying maximum meaning and it uses minimum text in doing so. The standard covers:-

· Size (Eg. Prostrate, low, medium, tall, etc…)

· Form (Eg. Tree, shrub, climber, grass, etc…)

· Foliage (Eg. Sparse, dense, prickly, weeping, etc…)

· Best soil moisture level (Eg. Wet, well-drained, dry, etc…)

· Uses (Eg. Ornamental, screen, erosion-control, etc…)

· Expanded Cultural and Care notes can be accommodated on our Hang Tag

· Our standard is designed to be particularly useful for describing plants used in Revegetation projects where the landowner relies on the plant label or plant tag to ensure correct placement of the plant in the landscape.

· Other descriptors such as Flower Colour and Flowering Period are available.

· Alternatively, we are happy to create pot labels and pot tags for you using your supplied descriptive text at no additional cost.

· Content can include Consecutive Numbering; for example, to uniquely identify each tagged or labelled plant with a sequential serial number.

· Barcodes can be included in all our labels and tags. We support all the major lineal bar-coding symbologies.

· Consider applying our Adhesive Labels directly to tubes & pots to reduce your overall production costs.

Stock Thermal Transfer plant labels and plant tags are available for many plant species. When you request a plant species not already available on our extensive database, we will create one for you at no extra cost.

 

Colour Laser Tags & Labels

 

Custom Colour Hang Tags

· Photographs and colour graphics can be printed on our Custom Colour Hang Tag range, on both sides.

· Our Custom Colour Hang Tags are especially suited to promotional and special plant lines.

· You supply the photo and any other special requirements (eg. nursery logo, contact information) and we create a colour hang tag just for you.

· Barcodes and sequential numbering are available.

 

Custom Colour Adhesive Labels

· Our Custom Colour Adhesive Labels are designed to be used in conjunction with mono-colour descriptive push-in tags to provide a colour image of a plant’s flower (or other important feature).

· Our Custom Colour Adhesive Labels are applied to the blank side of a descriptive push-in tag to enhance the pre-existing textual information.

· The label is sized to fit the most common descriptive push-ins (which typically measure 24mm wide or more).

· Our Custom Colour Adhesive Labels include a colour photograph and the plant’s Botanical and Common names. These labels are applied to the tag’s blank side and the tag is pushed into the plant container with the text side facing towards the plant and the labelled blank side facing out (towards the customer). In this way, the typically mono-colour push-in tag becomes a more vibrant marketing tool for you.

 

Colour Slide-In Tags

· Our Colour Slide-In Tags, are specifically designed to meet the needs of plant retailers by enhancing the marketability of plants sold as tube-stock (eg. in Forestry Tubes or 3” rounds). They are large enough to accommodate all the required content whilst small enough to avoid obscuring the typically smaller tube-stock plant.

· Colour Slide-In Tags include a colour photograph of the plant, along with its Botanical and Common names, on the customer-facing side of the tag, and a description of the plant on the plant-facing side.

· Barcodes and sequential numbering are available.

· The Colour Slide-In Tag is inserted into the container between the side of the container and the potting media. When the container is gently squeezed, a gap will form into which the tag can be slid down.
